Power and Performance
Under the hood, the Ranger packs a 2.3L EcoBoost® engine that pumps out 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. So, you’ll have plenty of power for whatever the local roadways throw at you. Plus, the Ranger offers an available Terrain Management System™ with four selectable drive modes, so rain or shine, pavement or mud, the Ranger will prove to handle extremely well.
While impressively powerful and versatile, the Ranger also comes with a 10-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission. This transmission will help the truck efficiently shift gears and optimize force distribution, ultimately allowing you to earn an EPA-estimated 21 city/26 highway MPG behind the wheel.1
Interior and Exterior Dimensions of the Ford Ranger

On the interior, you’ll have plenty of room for either seating or carrying cargo, thanks to the 89.2 cubic feet of passenger volume. The interior space can even be extended to 97.6 cubic feet with the available SuperCrew® cab.

The 5-foot bed will arm you with access to 43.3 cubic feet of cargo volume, while the 6-foot bed has a bit more to offer with 51.8 cubic feet. With the proper bed and cabin configuration, you’ll even have up to 1,905 pounds of maximum payload to play with.
If you have a trailer you need to tow, the Ranger will also delight. When properly equipped, this midsize pickup comes with a maximum towing capacity of 7,500 pounds. With this amount of power, you’ll have plenty of muscle for a moderately sized trailer.
